Look, We Get It
Nobody actually reads these things, but we're gonna try to make this as painless as possible. Bottom line? We're not here to sell your data or spam you with junk. We run a gym, not some shady data farm. Your info stays with us and helps us run things smoothly - that's it.
If you've got questions or something doesn't sit right with you, just shoot us a message at info@pyrelithvengeforge.info. We're real people and we'll actually respond.
What We Collect (And Why)
When you sign up for training or membership, we're gonna need some basic stuff:
- Personal Details: Name, email, phone number - the usual. We need this so we can actually contact you about classes, sessions, or if something comes up.
- Payment Info: Credit card or bank details for membership fees. This goes through secure payment processors - we don't store full card numbers on our end.
- Health & Fitness Data: Any medical conditions, injuries, fitness goals. Our trainers need to know this stuff to keep you safe and design programs that actually work for you.
- Training History: What classes you've taken, personal training sessions, progress notes. Helps us track your journey and adjust programs.
- Photos/Videos: Sometimes we take pics or videos during classes for social media or marketing. We'll always ask first though.
How We Use Your Info
We're not doing anything weird with your data, promise. Here's what we actually do:
- Schedule your training sessions and send reminders (because let's be honest, we all forget sometimes)
- Process your membership payments and send receipts
- Keep track of your progress and help you smash your goals
- Send updates about schedule changes, new programs, or gym events
- Improve our services based on feedback and usage patterns
- Comply with legal stuff if required (like insurance or health regulations)
What we DON'T do: Sell your info to third parties, spam you with random marketing garbage, or share your health data with anyone except your assigned trainers.
Who Gets To See Your Data
We keep your circle pretty tight:
- Our Staff: Trainers, front desk team, management - they need access to do their jobs and help you out.
- Payment Processors: Companies like Stripe or Square that handle the financial transactions securely.
- Service Providers: Email platforms, scheduling software, cloud storage - the tech stuff that keeps things running.
- Legal Requirements: If law enforcement or regulatory bodies legally require it (which basically never happens).
Everyone who touches your data is bound by confidentiality agreements. We don't mess around when it comes to this stuff.
Security Measures
We use encrypted connections, secure servers, password-protected systems, and regular security audits. Our facility has controlled access and all paper records are locked up. We're not Fort Knox, but we take reasonable precautions to keep your stuff safe.
How Long We Keep It
Active member data stays as long as you're with us. After you leave, we keep records for about 7 years (mostly for legal and tax reasons). Then we delete it. If you want us to delete your data sooner, just ask - we'll do it within 30 days unless there's a legal reason we can't.
Your Rights (Yeah, You've Got 'Em)
Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA for the legal nerds), you can:
Access Your Data
Request a copy of everything we've got on you
Correct Mistakes
If something's wrong, we'll fix it ASAP
Delete Your Info
Want out? We'll wipe your data (except what we legally have to keep)
Opt Out of Marketing
Don't want promo emails? No hard feelings - just unsubscribe
Cookies & Website Tracking
Our website uses cookies - those little data files that remember your preferences. We use them for:
- Keeping you logged into your member portal
- Remembering your session bookings
- Tracking website traffic (through Google Analytics)
- Making the site work better for you
You can disable cookies in your browser if you want, but some features might not work properly. We don't use any sketchy tracking stuff - just the basics.
Photos, Videos & Social Media
We love celebrating our members' wins on social media! But here's the deal:
- We'll always ask permission before posting photos or videos of you
- You can say no anytime - seriously, no pressure
- If we post something and you change your mind, tell us and we'll take it down
- Security cameras in the gym are for safety only - that footage isn't shared anywhere
If you tag us or use our hashtags on your own posts, we might share those (you're basically giving us permission by doing that).
What If There's a Breach?
We hope this never happens, but if there's ever a data breach that affects you, we'll:
- Notify you within 72 hours
- Tell you exactly what happened and what data was affected
- Let you know what steps we're taking to fix it
- Advise you on how to protect yourself
- Report it to the Privacy Commissioner if it's serious
Changes to This Policy
Sometimes we gotta update this stuff - new laws, new services, whatever. If we make major changes, we'll send you an email and post it on our website. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. By continuing to use our services after changes are made, you're cool with the new terms.
Questions? Let's Talk
If you've got concerns about your privacy or want to exercise any of your rights, don't hesitate to reach out. We're not gonna hide behind legal jargon - we'll give you straight answers.
